Jonathan India's time in Cincinnati may quickly be coming to an end. MLB Network's Jon Morosi is reporting that the Reds are discussing trading India with three or four different teams.

These latest Reds rumors are said to be active conversations, though Morosi admits that no deal is imminent.

The Cincinnati faithful has been hearing for weeks that India could be on the trade block. While those reports have, to this point, been refuted by Reds President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall, one has to assume that the front office is listening to potential offers for the star second baseman.

Reds rumors: Cincinnati actively discussing trading Jonathan India

Jon Morosi, of course, did not disclose which three or four teams are actually involved in the trade discussions. However, the Cincinnati Reds have a history of recent trades with the Seattle Mariners, and Jerry Dipoto was open at the GM Meetings about his team's need for a right-handed bat.

The Boston Red Sox could be another landing destination, especially with new chief baseball officer Craig Breslow looking to make a splash this offseason.

There's any number of teams that could be kicking the tires on a potential trade for Jonathan India. Outside of Shohei Ohtani and Cody Bellinger, there are few impact bats on the free agent market. That could make India a hot commodity.

One would assume that the Reds would be seeking pitching in return. After making great strides in 2023, Cincinnati should be looking for arms that can make an impact next season.

Stay tuned. With the non-tender deadline quickly approaching and the MLB Winter Meetings just around the corner, the Reds rumors are sure to heat up in the coming weeks.
