2 Reds players who could still be on Yankees' radar even after Jazz Chisholm trade
The Yankees aren't done adding.
A number of Cincinnati Reds fans breathed a sigh of relief on Saturday afternoon when it was announced that the New York Yankees had traded for Miami Marlins' outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr.
Trade rumors were swirling for the past several weeks that Reds' infielder Jonathan India was on the Yankees' radar, but after dealing for Chisholm, New York seems like an unlikely destination for the 2021 NL Rookie of the Year.
But that doesn't mean that the Yanks are through adding to their roster. In fact, a couple Reds players could be on a flight to the Bronx before the July 30th deadline expires. Will the Yankees swing a trade for Reds relievers Lucas Sims or Justin Wilson before Tuesday?

In addition to some offensive firepower, the Yankees are in the market for some bullpen help as well. It was reported recently that a Yankees scout was in attendance at Tropicana Field this weekend, and had eyes on players like Isaac Paredes, Yandy Díaz, and a number of relievers.
The Yankees are said to be targeting relievers with swing-and-miss stuff. Sims certainly fits that criteria. The Reds' right-hander owns a 25.5% strikeout rate this season and has struck out nearly one of every four batters he's faced throughout his career in the big leagues.
Wilson, a former Yankee, fits that mold as well. Though the southpaw has allowed three hits and two earned runs during his last three outings, Wilson has been stellar through the month of July. In 10 appearances, Wilson has a 2.35 ERA and 3.67 FIP with six punch outs over 7.2 innings of work.
The Reds have a number of relievers who are either down at Triple-A or returning from the IL. In order to clear space on the roster, pitchers like Sims and Wilson could be moved at the MLB trade deadline. Will one or both be headed to Bronx? The trade deadline expires on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET.
