Sorry, Reds fans, but the weather in southwest Ohio is not cooperating. Tonight's game between the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals was interrupted by a sudden storm and has now been postponed. The forecast isn't great, and the two teams will play a day-night doubleheader tomorrow.

After a slow-start to the 2025 season, Terry Francona's club has kicked it into high gear recently and was riding a five-game winning streak heading into Tuesday's contest against the Cardinals. An unexpected surge from Noelvi Marte, the hot-hitting of Gavin Lux, and stellar pitching from the Reds starting rotation and the bullpen have helped pushed Cincy to within striking distance of the Chicago Cubs.

Tonight's matchup between Brady Singer and Mile Mikolas was expected to be a doozy. The Reds' right-hander has been stellar this season with a 4-0 record and 3.62 ERA entering Tuesday's game. Singer was coming off a six-inning performance his last time out; one in which he allowed just two runs and struck out eight batters. Mikolas was equally as dominant during his previous start, going six innings without allowing a single run to dent the plate.

The Reds will now play a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday with the first pitch of Game 1 occurring a 12:40 p.m. ET. Game 2 will get underway at 6:40 p.m. ET.

It'll be interesting to see how Francona and Cardinals' manager Oli Marmol fill handle their pitching staffs during tomorrow's games. Oftentimes, if these postponements are most difficult on the pitchers. The Reds will get an extra player added to the roster before Game 1. Look for right-hander Yosver Zulueta or flamethrower Luis Mey to join the active roster.

Francona used three relievers (Graham Ashcraft, Tony Santillan, and Emilio Pagán) during Monday's 3-1 victory. Marmol used just John King and former Reds pitcher Riley O'Brien, so both bullpens should be well rested.
