The New York Yankees are coming to town on Friday, May 19, 2023 and the Cincinnati Reds will be wearing some slick new uniform designs when they take the field that evening.
The Reds released their new City Connect jerseys last weekend to mostly positive reviews, and Cincinnati faithful are gearing up to watch their favorite baseball team don the all-black jerseys on Friday night.
But a uniform this nice can't be worn just once, right? Well, you're in luck. The Cincinnati Reds have plenty of upcoming dates on the calendar that will feature the new City Connect jerseys?
When will the Reds wear their City Connect uniforms this season?
The Cincinnati Reds will be wearing their brand new City Connect uniforms for every Friday home game when the team plays at Great American Ball Park for the remainder of the 2023 season.
That's right, the debut of the Reds City Connect jerseys isn't just a one-off, but it will take place 12 times this season. It was originally going to be 11, but a rainout against the Chicago Cubs earlier this season will see a day/ night doubleheader in which the City Connect jerseys will be worn.
