It is officially February. That means that, whether it's Cactus League play or the World Series, baseball is back for the next 10 months. America's Pastime, a game that so many have enjoyed for so long, is set to begin it's 2023 season very soon.

With the Cincinnati Bengals now eliminated from the postseason, the Cincinnati Reds take centerstage. After all, where ya gonna go? Sorry, couldn't resist.

In all seriousness, many loyal Reds fans will head to the desert to check out what the 2023 Cincinnati will look like. While many expect the Redlegs to occupy the NL Central basement in 2023, there are so many young players expected to descend upon Arizona that there's just a touch of optimism in the air.

When does the 2023 Cincinnati Reds spring training begin?

The town of Goodyear, Arizona will once again be the site of the Cincinnati Reds spring training. The complex is shared with the Reds' neighbors to the north and defending American League Central Champion Cleveland Guardians.

In fact, the Guardians should offer a ray of hope for those disillusioned Reds fans. Cleveland was picked by many to finish dead-last in the AL Central last season, but against all odds, emerged victorious and even won a playoff series agains the Tampa Bay Rays.

Reds pitchers and catcher will report to the training complex in Arizona on February 15th. Fans should see the likes of Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo, Tyler Stephenson, and old friend Curt Casali take the field that Wednesday.

Full squad workouts begin the following Monday. Former Rookie of the Year Jonathan India will be on hand and looking to redeem himself after an injury-plagued sophomore season. The young prospects like Elly De La Cruz and Noelvi Marte will also be in attendance this spring.

Pessimism will surely be on full display this spring, but the Cincinnati Reds will show up anyway and be looking to prove the doubters wrong. Reds spring training begins in just two weeks with the first Cactus League contest beginning the following Saturday on February 25th against the aforementioned Cleveland Guardians.
