The Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks are locked in a pivotal series that will help decide one of the wild card spots in the National League.
After the Diamondbacks 3-2 win on Thursday, Arizona holds a slim 0.5 game lead on both the Reds and San Francisco Giants for the final spot in the playoffs. The close battle will continue tonight in the second game of their four game set.

Reds vs. Diamondbacks odds, run line, and total
Reds vs. Diamondbacks prediction and pick
You may see that Brandon Pfaadt is starting for the Diamondbacks with his 6.13 ERA and his 0-6 record and automatically want to bet on the Reds or the OVER, but I'd instead encourage you to take the UNDER in this game in what I think will be a surprisingly low-scoring affair.
Pfaadt's ERA is ugly, but his 5.45 FIP (Field Independent Pitching) tells me there's going to be at least a little bit of positive regression coming for him sooner rather than later.
He's facing off against Hunter Greene of the Reds who has been fantastic on the road this season, sporting a 3.31 ERA in nine starts away from home.
The main reason why I like this play is both teams are missing the offensive magic they experienced when they were hot early in the season. In fact, they rank just 19th and 25th in the Majors in OPS dating back to the All-Star break.
I think we can take advantage of that fact by wagering on the UNDER 9 tonight.
