The Cincinnati Reds are no strangers to having top prospects in their farm system. Over the past few years, Reds fans have watched players like Elly De La Cruz and Hunter Greene go from top prospect to All-Star level performer in a very short span of time.

While De La Cruz and Greene and the shining examples, others like Jonathan India, Nick Lodolo, Spencer Steer, and Graham Ashcraft climbed up through the ranks of the minor leagues and are now significant contributors on the big league ball club.

The Reds front office are expecting more of the same from their current crop of young talent down in the minors. Who are some of the top Reds prospects who've seen their stock soar with impressive showings in 2024?

Sammy Stafura, Reds prospect

De La Cruz is the current Reds shortstop, and many scouts also love what Edwin Arroyo had done prior to his injury, but Sammy Stafura is another top shortstop prospect who performed incredibly well during his first full season in the organization.

Stafura began the season at the Arizona Complex League, but after about two weeks, was promoted to Low-A Daytona. In 77 games with the Tortugas, Stafura posted a .255/.374/.379 slash line. Stafura showed great plate discipline for a 19-year-old prospect and could be considered by many scouts to be a top-100 prospect by the end of 2025.

Adam Serwinowski, Reds prospect

Rhett Lowder made it to the big leagues a year after being drafted. It'll take a little longer for Adam Serwinowski to make the leap to The Show, but the lanky left-hander certainly showcased an abundance of talent during the 2024 season.

The Reds' 15th-round selection out of South Carolina high school in 2022, Serwinowski logged just over 85 innings at Low-A Daytona this past season. The southpaw started 25 games and posted a 3.57 ERA with 106 punch outs. Serwinowski has the chance to be a top-10 organizational prospect by the time next season ends.

Sal Stewart, Reds prospect

Few Reds prospects made a bigger impact during the 2024 season than Sal Stewart. The former first-round pick was cruising right along this season until he landed on the seven-day injured list back in July. Though it hasn't been confirmed, it's been speculated that Stewart underwent wrist surgery earlier this summer.

Stewart is quite an advanced hitter despite being just 20 years old. Prior to his injury, Stewart hit .279/.391/.454 with nearly as many walks (50) as strikeouts (57). Stewart is a contact hitter, and if he taps into his raw power, the Florida native could be force in the middle of the Reds' lineup for years to come.

Cam Collier, Reds prospect

The Reds prospect who perhaps helped himself the most this season was Cam Collier. The Reds' first-round pick in the 2022 MLB Draft went on a tear after the MLB Futures Game and is in line to be part of major league spring training next February.

It was a little surprising to see Collier stay in High-A all season, but the Reds have no real incentive to rush him to the big leagues. At only 19 years old, there's plenty of time for Collier to continue to develop. The son of former MLB player Lou Collier hit .248/.355/.443 with 20 round-trippers against competition that was much older than he was.
