The rollout of the latest City Connect jerseys will begin on April 8th (Atlanta Braves) and end on June 27th (Pittsburgh Pirates). By season's end, 20 of Major League Baseball's 30 teams will have worn their alternate uniforms.

Reds fans are sure to be glued to social media over the coming weeks, hoping to see some "leaked" photos of the updated uniforms. Several teams, including the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Angels) have maintained their color-scheme, while others (Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers) have gone in completely different directions.

It's anyone's guess as to what will be present on the Cincinnati Reds City Connect uniforms. The idea behind the City Connect uniforms was inspired by the idea to represent the city where the team's originate from.

In the case of the Red Sox, the City Connect jerseys were designed to emulate the race bibs worn by runners in the Boston Marathon. The Brewers City Connect uniforms feature a sky blue color with the words "Brew Crew" across the chest and a grill logo on the sleeve.

With the Cincinnati Reds in rebuild-mode, there's a sentiment among the fanbase that there's not much excitement surrounding the franchise this season. Hopefully the Reds City Connect jerseys infuse some enthusiasm into Reds Country.
