There's only one good thing about Dodger Stadium.

The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night by the final score of 7-0. Reds starter Hunter Greene didn't have his best stuff, and gave up five runs on six hits. A horrific error from Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz in the bottom of the sixth inning opened the floodgates, and any hope of a comeback died in that instant.

But FanDuel Sports Network's Jeff Brantley brought a little levity to the festivities on Monday night at Dodger Stadium. "The Cowboy", as he's affectionately known throughout Reds Country, is never one to mince words, and Brantley made it clear where he stands when it comes to the Dodger Stadium.

Fellow broadcaster Jim Day was discussing the affinity Reds players have for playing surface at Dodger Stadium, and Cincinnati's play-by-play voice John Sadak then directed the conversation toward the pitchers mound.

Dodgers ballpark roasted on-air after Reds broadcaster Jeff Brantley fires off playful jab

"The other thing that I hear all the time, Cowboy, from Reds pitchers and from other pitchers, they all speak about the mound at Dodger Stadium," Sadak said.

Brantley quickly retorted, "That's the only good thing about this joint."

Sadak could be overheard snickering in the background, and then asked Brantley what about the mound at Dodger Stadium makes it so unique. Brantley went on to explain that while there's no difference in the actual height of the mound, the visual behind the plate is quite different than other stadiums.

Brantley was a reliever for many years in the major leagues, and came up pitching for the Dodgers' chief rival, the San Francisco Giants. The former All-Star closer was part of the San Francisco bullpen from 1988-1993 and said during Monday's broadcast that as a member of the Giants, you're taught to hate the Dodgers.

It's been almost 25 years since Brantley last threw a pitch in the big leagues, but that enmity toward the Dodgers organization is still alive an well. Obviously Brantley's comments were a bit tongue-in-cheek, but you can also be sure that "The Cowboy" has no love lost for the Dodgers or their stadium.
