This season, the Cincinnati Reds have a trio of players who could all join the 20-20 club by the end of the season.

Spencer Steer, Jake Fraley, and Jonathan India all have a legitimate chance, and are all on pace to hit 20 home runs and steal 20 bases.

The likes of Joe Morgan, Eric Davis, Barry Larkin, and Brandon Phillips have all achieved this great milestone. So, who will be the next Cincinnati Reds player to join this prestigious group?

Jake Fraley will be the 1st Reds player to join the 20-20 club in 2023.

While Spencer Steer, Jonathan India, and even Elly De La Cruz have legitimate opportunities to join the 20-20 club, Jake Fraley looks like he will be the first Reds player of the season to do so.

To date, Fraley has mashed 10 home runs and has stolen 12 bases. India has done the same. And let's not forget about Steer who's hit 10 homers and swiped seven bases in the early part of the 2023 season.

Fraley, however, has the perfect blend of power and speed to achieve this milestone first. Fraley, who began his career with the Seattle Mariners and came to Cincinnati in 2022 as a part of the Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez trade, has shown to be not only a home run hitter but also a speedy base runner.

Since 2019, Fraley has hit 31 home runs and stole 28 bases. But with the aggressive nature of this Reds team, in 2023 Fraley has already set a career-high in stolen bases and the season isn't even halfway over.

Fraley has a keen knowledge of the strike zone and has drawn 24 free passes. Fraley's ability to draw walks could play a pivotal role in him picking more steals. Fraley's on-base percentage of .362, is currently the highest of the trio, though both India (.351) and Steer (.352) reach base at a preetty nice clip as well.

While Jonathan India and Spencer Steer could come close to being the first Cincinnati Reds player to join the 20-20 club this season, look for Jake Fraley to do it first. However, by the end of the season, the Reds could have at least three players with 20 steals and 20 home runs.
