Cincinnati Reds reliever Lucas Sims has been quite popular on social media of late. However, his latest foray into the Twitter spotlight is quite amusing and comes courtesy of his wife, Dani, after she reached out to a fan during Thursday’s game versus the Arizona Diamondbacks.

If you haven’t seen it, Eugenio Suarez sent a missile into the seats during Thursday’s tilt with the D-backs. It was Geno’s third homer of the season and tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Lucas Sims’ wife reached out to a Reds fan after he dropped his nachos.

The more comical aspect of Suarez’s home run was the Reds fan who attempted to catch the ball. A man and his son were in the crowd, and the fan attempted to catch Geno’s bomb, but was unable to secure it.

In his haste, the fan tumbled over a few rows of seats in front of him attempting to catch the ball. While the fan seemed to be okay, he dropped his nachos in the process. Even more unfortunate, the gentleman lost the ball as well, and consoled his son after returning to his seat without nachos or a baseball.

But never fear, Dani Sims saved the day. Reaching out through Twitter, the wife of Lucas Sims retweeted the video with the following message, “Oh goodness, *nacho man* if you see this – DM me and @LSims_will get your son a ball.”

A few hours later, Dani Sims updated her post with this, “Update: Thank you all for the help! We found said *nacho man* and we are going to send his son an autographed baseball, AND @Donatos is going to hook them up with some free pizza for the lost nachos.”

How about that? Not only will the “Nacho Man” and his son receive a baseball, but it’ll be autographed by Lucas Sims. Furthermore, Donatos, a pizza chained headquartered in Ohio, is chipping in with some free pizza to replace the spilled nachos.

It’s always nice to see Cincinnati Reds players and their families reaching out to fans in the community. Kudos to Dani and Lucas Sims for making the Nacho Man’s day.
