Mike LurieMike Lurie

Mike Lurie began pursuing a career in sports journalism after separating from the Navy in 2001, initially focusing on the NFL and NHL. After two years of freezing his buns off in an NHL press box, Mike decided to turn his focus toward his true passion, baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. Mike has been featured in multiple publications including Center Ice Magazine and was also published in the Russian sports newspaper (Советский Спорт) for an expose on Russian hockey phenom Alexander Radulov. Mike's proudest career accomplishment was his coverage of the 2006 NFL Hall of Fame induction of Troy Aikman, John Madden, Reggie White and Warren Moon, one of the greatest HOF classes of all time. Mike has also made appearances on Nashville's News Channel Five and makes a gumbo that is slap your mamma good. Mike is husband to a beautiful wife, owner to a handsome pitbull, proud former Navy submariner and diehard baseball junky.
