John Rentz
John Rentz was born, raised in West Central Ohio, bordered by baseball territories of Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians, and even Chicago Cubs / White Sox. Benefiting from loyalty of his grandmother to Reds on Radio flagship 700 WLW, John listened to baseball games from fantastic pairing of Marty Brennaman & Joe Nuxhall starting in early 1980's, and his love of Reds baseball endures today. John has lived in Cincinnati since 2003 (coinciding with opening of Great American Ball Park) and attends games with reckless abandon. His love of baseball writing is rooted deeply from many years reading Hal McCoy and Ritter Collett (both Hall of Fame writers) via the Dayton Dayton News. John is a proud graduate of University of Dayton and works as an engineer in his spare time.
