Aroldis Chapman made his third rehab appearance this evening. This was the first one for the Triple-A Louisville Bats after making two appearances for the Low-A Dayton Dragons. If the game was a sign of anything, and maybe it wasn’t, but maybe Chapman isn’t quite ready.
The left hander was lit up by the opposing Norfolk Tide, who tagged him for five runs in just 0.2 innings before Chapman was removed from the game after needing 33 pitches to get there. Of those 33 pitches, 21 of them were strikes, but he hit a batter, walked a batter and gave up three line drive singles and a line drive double before exiting the game.
