Rehab update: Schumaker and Chapman get it done

Aroldis Chapman made his first rehab appearance last night for the Dayton Dragons. He threw well to the Low-A hitters on the Lansing squad, striking out two hitters and getting another to line out to left field. His fastball sat 98-100 MPH and he hit 101 on one pitch. He looked and threw just like Aroldis Chapman usually does.

Skip Schumaker got the start for the Louisville Bats at second base last night and went 1-4 with a double, his third in three games. All three have been to the opposite field. In his other three at-bats he grounded out to first base, the pitcher and to shortstop. The swing still looks good and he isn’t likely  more than another few days away from joining the big league club in my opinion.
