Reds Card Collection

Around the holidays, most of us are fortunate enough to be spoiled by having time with our family members.  Luckily for me, my grandparents have yet to cease giving me Christmas presents, and I was lucky enough to receive an autographed Ken Griffey Jr. jersey piece out of the Topps collection.  I won’t go as far to say it’s my all-time favorite Reds card, but it certainly holds a special place in my card collection.

As a youngster, I was captivated by a card game named “MLB Showdown” that was parent-approved due to its usage of math skills.  The game was based on a 20-sided die that could be rolled and allowed you to create teams out of your favorite players.  The only issue was the price of cards when you’re 9 years old and unemployed.

The day of my 8th birthday featured my dad purchasing me a Ken Griffey Jr. card that not only complemented my Showdown lineup, but gave me a unique holographic card of my all-time favorite player.  One day in the future, it would be fantastic for the card to be autographed by Junior himself, but regardless, it still holds a special place in my heart.

With that being said, what are some of your favorite Reds cards, and for what reason?  Different cards have different meanings for everyone, so there really is no wrong answer!
