5. Billy Hamilton‘s debut

I honestly can’t recall a September call-up that generated more excitement than the buzz surrounding Billy Hamilton. We are all in awe of his speed and he shows that not even the best has a chance. For the season, BHam was 12-for-13 in stolen bases, but there’s even an air of doubt surrounding the time he was thrown out on a steal attempt.

Yes, he did get caught once. Once.

Much can also be made of scoring nine runs in thirteen games, although the majority of those games he entered was due to two purposes: steal a base and score a run. Well see f that all translates next season.
