Some of these players might not make the roster for this one game, but among those that we know definitely will, only one Pirate owns him: Marlon Byrd. Perdo Alvarez and Garrett Jones have exhibited some success against him as well. MVP candidate Andrew McCutchen has a power surge against Cueto as he;s popped 3 homers.

The next couple of tables will display Reds pitchers and how they have fared in their careers in facing the Buccos. The table left side reflects their career records against eh Pirates. The right side displays these same hurlers and their numbers when pitching at PNC Park.

Notice that I did not include the likes of Bronson Arroyo and Homer Bailey. I listed those that have the greater chance of making the roster for this one game. The roster can be “reset” after this game.

Sure, I have lingering questions about the health of Tony Cingrani, but he might be able to give you a couple of innings. Same for Mike Leake. Yep, he was drubbed in his last outing, but hasn’t pitched since that game (Sept. 24). Both are possibilities as another starter on the roster for this game in case Cueto…

Forget that. Cueto will be fine.
