No division title at stake, but plenty on the line

This series between the Pirates and Reds presents the opportunity to host the wild card game. Prior to this season, general thought was this series would hold some significance, but more in the way of deciding the NL Central title.

Sure, Pittsburgh does have the slightest of glimmers on that while the Reds know their fate as being a participant of the play-in game. I’ll not go into how the Pirates can at least tie for the division title. That’s too grim.

But it’s all pretty simple. A Reds sweep and that one game will be held at GABP. Well, winning the series will, too as the Good Guys will have the edge based in winning this series. Two Pirates wins in this series and the game will take place at PNC Park.

Looks like the Good Guys have their starters lined up pretty well for the final three games of the season.

Here’s your look at the probables for the series.

You honestly don’t know the difference between “a chance” and actually calling your shot? Joe Strauss was right when he tweeted that STL schools lack accreditation.

Your insulting my education with your great closing paragraph? News flash, you only needed to win 2 of 3 of this series in order to have a home game, not all 3 as you claimed.
