Are these three games important? Silly question, I know. There’s a little more than second place in the NL Central up for grabs here. Home field for the one-game wild card. Distance yourself from those suddenly streaking Natinals, a team for which now everyone has jumped on that bandwagon…again.

Maybe even the NL Central title could fall into the hands of which ever team wins this series. The Cards visit Miller Park in Milwaukee, but I wouldn’t expect a lot of help from them. St. Louis is 12-4 against the Brew Crew this season and 6-1 at MP including a four-game sweep at the beginning of May.

Hang your hat on this: the Brewers are over .500 (30-28) since the All-Star break. The Cards are 32-28 in that same time span.

For the record, Cincy is 34-24, same as Nats, while the Buccos are 32-28.
