Billy Hamilton Named International League All-Star

Yesterday, the International League issued a news release in which the league named its 2013 postseason All-Star squad. Top rated Reds prospect Billy Hamilton, a member of the Reds Triple-A affiliate Louisville Bats, was among those receiving the honor.

Hamilton currently leads the IL in steals with 73. The next closest player is Ezequiel Carrera of Columbus with 41. Hamilton is tied for second in the league in runs scored with 73, 6 behind league leader Nick Castellanos, a member of the Toledo Mud Hens from the Detroit Tigers organization.

Hamilton was also a member of the IL’s mid-season All-Star team which defeated the Pacific Coast League by a score of 4-3.
