First, I would apologize that we didn’t have a Friday 5 last week except it was All-Star Week and considering there wasn’t much else happening, well, I think you get the picture. Plus, the ASG was a bit boring this year. Not because the NL lost, but because there really wasn’t anything exciting happening other than Mo Rivera’s entrance.

That alone was worth watching though.

But this past week has been something vastly different. Real games! Games that actually count unlike…

Wait. The All-Star Game counts? Since when? Who on earth came up with that?

And the Reds currently sit at 59-44. Bummer that they’re 5 games back and in third place in the division, huh? But maybe there’s a positive sign as you’ll see as our first of this week’s Friday 5.
