Raising Reds - 5/2: Bats Beat Bison for Only Win

The Bats got a pitching performance from an unexpected source after an unexpected situation. The Blue Wahoos’ bats never woke up after a delay at the game’s beginning. The Blaze were doomed by one inning. The Dragons dug a deep hole (much like the Blue Wahoos) and couldn’t climb out of it.

Billy Hamilton: 1-5, RBI (7), SB (16), R
Yohan Pino: 6.1 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 3 SO

Bats starting pitcher Armando Galarraga had to leave after pitching to only 4 Bison batters. Taking a line drive off his foot, Galarraga was forced to leave the game and hand the ball over to Pino. Not only did Pino pick up Galarraga, but the entire team en route to his first win as a Bat.

The weather pushed back the start of the game between the Biscuits and the Blue Wahoos. The Biscuits’ bats woke up earlier. A Todd Glaesmann three-run homer off Ryan Dennick in the 4th inning staked Montgomery to a 3-0 lead and the Blue Wahoos could never recover.
