A postponement of the Bats game in Columbus was probably expected considering how the Ohio weather acted yesterday and last evening. Even the big club was affected with the continuation of today’s game scheduled for 5:30 PM ET.
As far as the rest of the farm was concerned, it was another 1-2 night with the Blue Wahoos providing the win.
Pensacola Blue Wahoos
W: Smith, J (1-2, 10.97) ; L: Leverton (0-1, 9.39) ; SV: Partch (3)
LaMarre, Greene and Smith were two-thirds of the hits. Appears that Partch (pictured) is acclimating himself rather well to being a closer. He only needed four pitches to end this game on a strikeout swinging.
|Inland Empire (7-6)||0||5||1||0||0||1||0||0||0||7||10||0|
W: Cendejas (2-0, 1.23) ; L: Moscot (0-3, 13.09)
The Blaze scored early, but not often enough and allowed that five spot in the top of the second. Also, Jon Moscot has yet to go five innings in any of his three starts thus far in 2013. Last night was the closest as he went 4.1 IP.
|Lake County (3-7)||1||0||3||2||3||1||0||0||X||10||14||3|
W: Martin (1-1, 5.06) ; L: Peralta, W (0-2, 8.10)
Another rough start for Wandy Peralta (3.2 IP, 6 R, 5 ER). In two starts this season, Peralta is 0-2 with an ERA of 11.57, a WHIP of 3.426, and opponents are batting .448.
The Louisville Bats game versus the Columbus Clippers was postponed.
