Game Thread: Nats v. Reds – 4/6/13

The middle game in the series today with a game time . After last night’s 15-0 Reds win, a Reds win today will guarantee a series win and we all know the importance of winning any series.

Devin Mesoraco will see his first start of the season. With Johnny Cueto going tomorrow, Mike Leake dealing and a day game after a night game, this should come as no surprise. Mes fans rejoice in Dusty’s decision. He got some game time in last evening (going 1-for-2 with a run scored on Xavier Paul’s pinch-hit grand slam), so he’s not all that rusty…

Side note: Something about Henry Rodriguez allowing grand slams at GABP. huh?

I never tire of watching that…

Here’s the starting pitchers for today’s tilt:

Nationals: Ross Detwiler (2012: 10-8, 3.40 ERA, 1.223 WHIP; v. CIN: 0-3, 3.13 ERA, 1.478 WHIP; last appearance v. Reds – 4/15/12)
