Today Is #JoeyVotto Day!

Be prepared, oh Reds fans on Twitter. Today is the day we tweet and tweet and tweet in order to send Joey Votto to the Final Four of the Face of MLB “tournament”. This tournament is being conducted by MLB Hot Stove on MLB Network.

So, this morning at 9 AM (provided you are able to do so), switch that set to MLBN and see when we can start putting #JoeyVotto in our tweets. A couple of things here.

– You only need to put #JoeyVotto in a tweet once. Multiple “hashtagging” (placing #JoeyVotto in a tweet more than once) will not gain him any extra votes. In fact, rumor has it that those tweets are not considered in the voting and are determined to be spam. (I know, not everything you read on the Internet is true. I saw the State Farm commercial.) Of course, there’s nothing to indicate that is the case, but to be on the safe side, you only need to do it once.
– Re-tweets with the #JoeyVotto hashtag count, too. If one of your Reds friends has a tweet which has #JoeyVotto in it, re-tweet that sucker!

Votto squares off against the Yankee captain Derek Jeter, so let’s get out Twittering front and center for today.

And as I did for the last round, I will take a few original tweets and post them here later in the day. Might even make them an additional 5 at 5 (or 6 at 6, you get the picture).
