Today is St. Patrick’s Day!
Spring Training is well underway.
The season is new.
Here’s a rhyming review
of MLB’s 2012 play.

The Red Sox no longer drink beer.
Bryce Harper will make his premiere.
Braun won his appeal.
Strasburg is healed.
The end of Chipper’s career?

Ozzie Guillen is sometimes absurd.
But he has the Miami fans stirred.
The Fish have a new home.
A retractable dome.
And Ramirez is moving to third.

The Dodgers are close to a sale
Crawford’s wrist is still a bit frail
The Mets are near broke.
The ‘Stros are a joke.
Lenny Dykstra is going to jail.

Albert Pujols moved off to LA.
The St. Louis Cards wouldn’t pay.
Is Holliday the man?
Or is it Carlos Beltran?
Or Berkman? Or even Jon Jay?

Andy Pettite did not retire.
The Rox signed Michael Cuddyer.
A long year for the Cubs.
Fewer strikeouts for Stubbs.
The Reds could go wire to wire.

Jay Bruce is looking more lean.
With Prince, Detroit’s lineup is mean.
The Rangers have Yu.
