How Can I Contribute?

Good afternoon Reds fans. I have a couple of things I’d like to bring to your attention here.

First, the American League has to have an All Divisional Team just like we did for the National League. You can catch that voting over on Call to the Pen. For those that voted, the National League East team was selected to square off against the AL winner. That should shock no one really. But in case you’re wondering, here’s that team…

C Brian McCann
1B Ryan Howard
2B Chase Utley
SS Hanley Ramirez
3B Ryan Zimmerman
OF Mike Stanton
OF Jason Heyward
OF Jayson Werth
SP Roy Halladay
SP Cliff Lee
SP Roy Oswalt
SP Josh Johnson
SP Tommy Hanson
RP Ryan Madson
CP Francisco Rodriguez

Head over to Call to the Pen and vote for which American League All Divisional Team you think is the best.

That leads me to this.

I’m sure you’ve all seen where BRM is always willing to give perspective writers a chance at being a contributor here. We even have a page devoted to such. Well, I got to thinking (which we all know can be an extremely dangerous deal). What if you, the Reds fans, just want to scribe a bit here and there? I would say that’s a great idea! Here’s what I’d like to see if you’re really interested.

Cat-and-computer

Someone's already at work.

Submit to us a “post” of at least 500 words. Your topic should be along the lines of gearing up for the start of the regular season. You have a few days to get this together. The deadline for submissions is this coming Sunday, March 6. I’ll read all the submissions and publish the winning entry no later than a week from today, March 8.

Submit your “post” to [email protected] for your entry to be considered for BRM’s first ever “fan post”.

And if you can’t do it this time, don’t worry. We’ll do this from time to time to see what Reds fans think of baseball’s oldest and grandest organization.
