Reds Break Two Streaks

The Reds finally won a game and snapped the 8 game winning streak of the San Diego Padres. Thanks in part to the clutch hitting of Ryan Hanigan, Jay Bruce, and Ramon Hernandez. The rattled off three hits in a row to score two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Homer Bailey pitched pretty well while tying his career high with 8 strikeouts. He did give up 4 runs in 6 innings but the relief corps bailed him out. Arthur Rhodes got his first win of the season and Francisco Cordero got his seventh save.

The Padres’ Adrian Gonzalez hit a homer in his fourth straight game.
