Put Joe Nuxhall in the hall of fame. Voting for the Ford Frick award began Tuesday, December 1. But to vote for the Ol Lefthander, you must have a Facebook account.
The Reds Hall of Fame pitcher and radio baseball announcer made the final list the past two years, but did not get in spite of being the top online vote-getter.
Nuxhall also missed out on the award, being a finalist in 2004.
Joe Nuxhall died Nov. 15, 2007, at age 79 after battling lymphoma, pneumonia and a failing heart.
This year, the National Baseball Hall of Fame is conducting its annual online poll to nominate fans favorite broadcasters for the Frick Award on Facebook at www.facebook.com/baseballhall.
