The Reds are Dick-less

The Reds have not renewed Pitching Coach Dick Pole’s contract. Obviously, the best name in baseball.

“As an organization, we feel that Dick has done a good job, at this point, but we felt going forward we needed to make a change and leave it at that,” general manager Walt Jocketty said. “We really don’t have a clear candidate. We’re going to formulate a list and try to find the right guy to be with this organization for a long time. We’ve got some good young pitchers coming along and we’d like to make sure we have the right guy to develop them as they come through. It was a difficult decision.”

The rest of the Reds coaching staff has been retained for next season. I am not sure if that is good or bad.

Hey, until you have walked a mile in the shoes of any of these athletes, coaches, players, etc.. I suggest you keep your opinion to yourself. I'm guessing you're a loser that sits on the sofa all day, a real nothing and criticize these hard working athletes such as Dick Pole (by the way, we had a lot of fun with your crazy name) and Dusty Baker. You have no idea what kind of life these athletes live just to entertain losers like you. By the way, have you ever pitched major league baseball, do you know what is actually involved to be on the mound??? Do you have any idea what it takes to coach these pitchers?? We're guessing not, couch potato........
