Aaron Harang had emergency surgery last night in Cincinnati. He had appendicitis. He was driven from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati yesterday by Rick Stowe, Equipment Manager. He joins fellow starters Edinson Volquez and Johnny Cueto on the disabled list.

Scott Rolen has missed the last two games with concussion-like symptoms. He was hit in the head with a Jason Marquis pitch last Sunday. Adam Rosales has started in his stead. Good news, Adam just hit a 2-run homer in San Fran.

The Reds have traded David “Stormy” Weathers to the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named later. Weathers is 3-3 with a 3.32 ERA in 43 games. He pitched one inning and got the win in Friday’s 10-5 comeback win over the San Francisco Giants.
