Bronson Arroyo = Selfish Son of a bitch

AUTHOR: | IN: Reds | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

I hope everyone got to see what a selfish baseball player and person he really is. He boast to the USA Today about himself taking performance enhancing drugs while with the Boston Red Sox. He also bragged about his continuing consumption of various drugs and substances not approved by Major League Baseball. Why bring that fire upon yourself and the Reds? It is idiotic to say the least. I just can’t understand his bringing attention to these facts. I mean, it is so commonplace to hear about someone taking steroids these days. Most fans and observers are sick and tired [...]

Volquez out for the season

AUTHOR: | IN: Reds | COMMENTS: None Yet

Edinson Volquez will not pitch again this season. He experienced pain in his latest bullpen session. He was pitching to actual batters and pitching with normal velocity. The right-hander was cruising toward a rehab assignment. “I was fine in all my bullpens,” Volquez said. “But when I threw with more intensity to hitters today, I felt it. It’s crazy. It’s not as bad as it was.”

Reds 3-11

AUTHOR: | IN: Reds | COMMENTS: None Yet

3-11, no, its not the music group playing in GABP, its the Reds record since the All-Star break. They have fallen in to a virtual tie with the Pirates for last place. They were battling for 1st place in May but have since fallen off the pace. Their great starting pitching has deserted them. Also, the injuries are mounting up. My buddy texted me last night and said, “I haven’t watched the Reds in a week. And, now, I don’t know any of the players.” I told him they haven’t won a game since then either. With the Reds losing [...]
