Volquez Throws

Volquez (elbow) threw from 60 feet for about five minutes Friday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Volquez reported no pain after the session, which was his first batch of throwing in about two weeks. He will progress in his throwing sessions over the next week and a half before heading out on a lengthy minor league rehab assignment.

I am not fond of that last sentence. A lengthy minor league rehab stint. Yikes!
